Without so much deliberation
Many of the movies or tv shows on Netflix that I found enjoyable are the ones that I didn’t spent so much time to pick. I looked at the synopsis for a second then proceeded to watch it without so much deliberation. If it’s boring, I can immediately stop watching. But most of the time, they’re interesting enough for me to watch until the end without so much fast forwarding or skipping. The shows like MIU 404, Interrogation Unit, or movies like The Starling or The Big 4, are the ones that I picked without so much thought and found surprisingly enjoyable to watch. They even become my favorites. On the other hand, shows or movies that I thought I would definitely love and been keeping it for the perfect time to watch, were turned out to be not that enjoyable for me.
I think that can be an interesting approach to many things in life. Researching is good, deliberating is necessary, but you don’t know if it’s actually good for you or not until you experience it on the first hand, until you try doing it.
For the people like me who actually like to plan things, read books, and do research, this realization doesn’t come naturally. I like to be prepared, I like to be completely ready for things. I’m over prepared, sometimes, and it makes me choked up and super anxious. A messed up way to live a life that’s full of the unpredictables.
So now I do more, experiment more. I don't know what things or conditions that are meant for me until I do it, experience it myself. And this certainly feel liberating to me.
